If you have not already done so you could try Tony Griffiths at lathes.co.uk Tony has an exhaustive collection of catalogue and manual reprints but be warned, they and the shipping lean towards expensive.

While the quality of the manuals is excellent, they are bloody expensive and sometime are missing a lot of info...

I currently work at an Iron Foundry that has been around for 140 years and am fairly sure we have had Churchill Surface Grinders in the past. I will have a look in our library tomorrow and see what I can unearth. A model number for your machine would be handy.

Greetings Chaps. I have just gained access to a Churchill cylindrical grinder it has power on but is not workable at this stage. I have visited Lathes.co.uk and yes they are expensive. But I have delt with them before and have acquired a hand book for a Kearns Horozontal Borer and an Asquith Radial drill. Both were very helpful in sorting the machine out. So when I can get someone to read the makers plate number I will see if he has a manual. There were a lot of Churchill grinders available. I did not know that Churchill made so many different machines 4-6-4

There is no model no on the machine ,however it is known as a "Horizontal reciprocating table surface grinder
The serial no is 22666
Table size is 18inches by 6 inches.
Oil pump motor for the table reciprocation is 1420rpm
Wheel head motor is 1420rpm
Wheel head spindle speed is 2450rpm
Grinding wheel size is 7 inches dia by 1/2 inches wide.
Stamped near the name "The Chirchill Machine Tool co Ltd
Manchester England is a number NB22888

I have a similar model After many hours through google I think its called a model NB.
Although mine is a little different with the style of handwheels and thier respective housings, mine is still basically same shape, size and functionality. I have fine feeds in tenths of a thou on table infeed and headstock vertical, and auto table infeed/outfeed on each alternate stroke.
Im curious if you and anyone you know procured a manual. If not I would consider alleviating the cost by putting something forward towards it.

I contacted by email [email protected] & got more info on spindle oil they suggested morlina 10 but at the scraping class in Melb grade15 was suggested for a machine of this age.I still have not changed the spindle oil.
My machine came to Australia, new, in Aug 1950 to a company Johnson & Phillips Ltd Sydney from there it may have gone to AWA Ashfield as it looks identical in every way to the machine I worked as an apprentice Tooly, at that time.
The manual for the machine from memory from England was going to be about $150 so I hesitated.
My machine grinds without any ripples in the workpiece surface so I think the bearings are still good.
I keep the reservoir at the top of the spindle topped up with oil. It gravity feeds the oil pressure by the copper tube to the bearing head. I bleed off the air valve screw every so often
My machine grinds flat lengthwise but grinds a couple of tenths of a thou convex in the cross wise direction. I am looking at better levelling or maybe scraping to rectify.
Please lets know a bit more about your machine & photos if possible.
You are the first person to contact me who has one of these wonderfully engineered machines. They were built to last.
