Cincinnati Shaper Brochure
Attached is a selection of photos of a 31 page brochure I bought from the US of A. If there is interest I will scan and post the entire publication. If there is no interest, guess what?
Strangely, it is not dated. I imagine it harks from the 50's.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for those, and they are nice in colour. If you have the time I would like to see the rest of it.
Here are some more documents on the Cincinnati. The manual is brilliant for any one with a shaper but is 57MB. (Towards the bottom it shows set ups etc)

Hi Bob,
+1 to what Dave said. I've seen a few things in the pictures that I might be able to add to my shaper.

Bob can you speak up? I'm having trouble reading the text, especially the double pages. If and when you want to spend the time, I'd love to see more, but a bit bigger if possible. If you need help hosting big files off-site, let us know.
Anyone up on classical mythology? I'm guessing the headless heroine is Victoria, goddess of victory, also known as Nike. Cincinnati 'just did it' with their machine tools, in a style all their own.

Bryan,
The images were intended to serve as possible appetizers, simply to gauge if there was any interest. Resolution would have been enhanced if I had bothered to use a tripod. I'll see if my wife can show me how to use the scanner we have. I have a lot of literature that may be worth scanning and posting.
Nike was the winged goddess of victory. To scrub up on your mythology, have a read of this-

Talk about style, this stylish Toolmaster belongs to a Belgian, Danny Willems. You might be interested in his website.

Hey Bryan,
Did you see the taper gib on the sliding block? Could be a fix for your latter on.

Just found this metal working forum today through the link Dave posted above to the shaper directory on the www.AirGraver.com site. This looks like a great forum and site! Bob, thanks for scanning the brochure. I've seen the cover scanned before on the net but not the rest of it. Good to see it all now. I downloaded your individual pdf scans and combined them into one pdf. I hope it is ok, but uploaded it with the other shaper pdf files in the directory www.airgraver.com/shaper
Recently I completed a restoration project on one of these shapers that you may enjoy seeing. Serial number dates it to 1947. I've uploaded a bunch of photos of the project on these five pages: Cincinnati 24" Shaper Restoring Photos Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4, Page 5

What a machine Steve!! I've only looked at page 1, I'll save ( and savour) the rest for tonight.
Of course I am happy for the scans to be dispersed so that others can enjoy looking at a bit of history.
Bob.

Just a thought, if you have time you could give us all some pointers in the scraper thread, since you have done such a good job on your machines.
