Cleaning brazing "burns" from brass?
G'day fellas, just what I hope is a simple question. How does one clean the "burn" marks off brazed brass, what technique? With stainless you'd use pickling acid however I'm thinking the nitric component wont be so nice on the brass. What is best to use? and if possible the include actual chemical rather then just product name, have a lot of stuff lying around.
See in the image here http://img695.imageshack.us/img695/3581/90729987.jpg I've got burn marks behind the fittings brazed to the ends of the main tube. Brasso aint gunna budge that.
Thanks.

Geez, do you need a license for that thing or what? What are you hunting?
re the marks, You will get it clean with starting with fine wet & dry (used wet) and then working your way down to brasso. You can buy small buffing mops mounted on an arbour which you can use in a portable drill which would make it a bit easier. Would still probably have to use wet and dry to get rid of the marks first.
