Update on the details:
- not balanced,
- no holes drilled in propeller (presumably for balancing ?),
- 6 mm keyway,
- at least some of the job done on a CNC (unknown if mill or lathe),
- surface finish appears excellent.

Stuart,
It was the owner that stated that balancing was not included in the deal.
The holes comment arose out of Azzrock's comment in Post #9 "Is there any threaded holes on the forward side of that prop.".
I remembered the comment about holes, but failed to understand what the significance the presence of threads might be.
When I saw the owner earlier today I asked him about holes, with the response "no holes".
It was my assumption that holes would be the result of balancing, but perhaps Azzrock meant something different.
Apologies for any misunderstanding.
I can understand the captivation that Nadroj referenced in Post #7 resulting in the rapid acquisition of the launch "Brillig" by his friend.
The two complementary copies of the magazine that I received have mesmerizing photos of boats underway on various waterways around Australia.
One thing I will be angling for is a ride on my mate's launch when he completes it.
John.

holes
hi i was wondering about the threaded holes because i thought it would be a easy way
mount the propeller. For machining. Some ive seen do have them.
makes me wonder if it would be acceptable to drill and tap some for the purpose of mounting.
could easly make some plugs for them later.
as far a balancing the prop i think it best to remove metal from out further.
