Being in a shire helps, and my neighbours did have some say, but apparently not enough to stop my shed, just comment on colour, etc.
it helps though that there are other sheds in the area of similar finished height, and even larger footprint.
I will start a thread and document the construction once ground is broken for the pad - until then it's simply awaiting a design for people to quote on, then full steam ahead with building approval applications.

I did go and speak with just about all the shed manufacturers i could find in WA...
Cost was a consideration for me... - that and portal frame construction was the decider for me.
Others mileage will vary of course.
