That is a problem I have to try very hard to resist Wondering around the local scrap dealers yard. Ooo that looks useful or a nice piece of bar. The other day I was in there and there were about 20 enormous roller bearings about a foot across. The type that the inner swivels so that they self align. Some still in the waxed paper wrapper. Motors galore from little shower pumps to 10 HP ones, and a man with a big hammer smashing the cast casings.

Next time I go down there is a two gallon bucket that is full to the brim with carbide inserts. The guy said that if I remind him he will empty it onto a steel tray so that I can have a poke through them.
    Best Regards:
    BaronJ.

Oh what waste no wonder we are scroungers.

My youngest son was telling me about where he works two companies combining so the one he's working for had to transfer all their stock to the others new premises. As things moved along they found the need to hire a 20t waste bin it was filled with boxes of stock all brand new some $150k worth of nuts bolts etc all destined for Sims.
