Eskimo,
I had not encountered Taiwan Tools before. Now I have found another source of 30 taper tooling. Thank you.

Hi Eskimo,
Thanks for the link to taiwan tools... nice one!
Anyone know these guys? Products | t4i.com.au
The seem to carry same lines as H&F, maybe a related company?
Regards
Ray

Taiwan Tools
I was all revved up thinking I could by a NT30 saw arbor for 70 bucks. Then on the confirm payment details page there's a note advising of a $150 handling charge for orders under 5 large.
Back to searching the net.
Has anyone out there chanced upon an ISO30 or NMTB30 saw or slitting saw arbor in their travels?
Bob.

NT30 Side Cutter Arbor
Hello Eskimo.
If I had read the details correctly I would have noticed the $150 handling fee is applicable to items sent by sea.
I have completed their online order form and now await an advise regarding the cost of postage. Hopefully it will work out.
How long before you place your order, just in case it doesn't work out?
Regards Bob.

I will/can wait till I hear from you.
Its a funny way they do the order ...but it works...and dont use Mozilla..i had all sorts of problems until i used Internet Explorer..it..Mozilla, didnt want to work...but I got there...they may have also fixed the problem with their site by now to allow mozilla...I dont know?
they also sell or can get inserts although they are not listed on their site...so maybe they can get other stuff as well...

Thank you Eskimo.
They say that they will respond within 3 days with a shipping cost. I will advise you of the outcome.

Bob.

Eskimo,
I just received a reply from Taiwan Tools. The want $51 US for Delivery via EMS Express. I don't need the thing that quickly. How have they sent stuff to you?
Regards
Bob.

I was charged US54.00 for freight......with freight it was still half what H&F (General Tools Adelaide) wanted
freight was the killer so its best to buy up and fill the minimum carton size
what are the item no's you want ...maybe i could include it with my lot and send ozzie post bag to you

Eskimo,
Thank you very much for your kind offer but unfortunately I can't take you up on it.
Jennifer Chen at Taiwan Tools has informed me that the arbor (M12 draw bar thread) that I was after is not in stock and that there is a 60 day lead time for production.
I just sent her an email saying that I would wait.
How much gear can you fit into the minimum carton size and maintain the 54 dollar shipping cost?
Regards Bob.

Think you'd fit an 8" rotab in there? Maybe not.
The thing I like about CTC is you can see the shipping cost up front. Don't see why others can't do that.Last edited by Bryan; 29th December 2010 at 03:04 PM. Reason: typo
