    Default Cutting a LH thread

    As in a LH ACME thread ... I need some basic info:

    Is the Tumbler set over to feed in the opposite direction to normal ? And, are there any other settings I need to look at e.g., feeding from L to R ? ..thanks MIKE

    Yes you need to reverse the feed and feed from left to right...
    Light red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.

    Make sure your tool clearance is OK because you're cutting on the RH face now not the LH face. If like most of us you grind freehand on a bench grinder you've probably got excess clearance angles anyway but check....
