    Default One for the Cyclists.

I followed a link from an Astoba / Meyer and Burger UW1 multi purpose machine site this morning UW1 and found another interesting site belonging to a Swiss bike builder, Kolb. Another link lead to Kolb's Flickr photo stream which contains a number of machine setups that may appeal to some viewers.

He uses his UW1 for lightweight tube and flatbar rolling, a setup that could be replicated easily enough on more conventional mills and lathes. He also has neat little and I dare say expensive Swiss tube bender that's possibly worth a look at.

I'm not sure about his copper plated bike. A toss up between Brasso or verdigris.

Do wavy spokes give you a softer ride??
Should we start flaming about the need for stress relieving of stainless steel spokes?

Great machine. Lath/hoz mil/pillar drill/(maybe vert mill though I cant see any Y movment?). Would save some space.

    Stu,

Have a look at image no. 5 showing the Schnellbohrmachine configuration.
Quill feed is via the lever, Y traverse via the ball crank.
