[QUOTE=Ueee;1682797]We now have a like button, but I think we need a dislike button at times......
We hit a sweltering top of 8 today.
Drove out of RMC Canberra after an overnight stop over there in a Army ser2 Land rover. Couldnt get up the hill en route to Sydney.Spluttering and coughing and farting[the Rover] pulled up lifted the bonnet and carburettor was a blob of ice. Ended up putting a whole newspaper in front of the radiator to get some warmth into the engine bay.
Later years when I used to frequent ACTION bus depot Belconnen. Was told there by one of the staff when I said had flown in in sunshine from Melbourne of how cold it was he said'' well you know Canberra is a hole in the sky''. Well said then I thought. Newstead isnt much warmer last few weeks.Cheers another brass monkey.

Cheers,
The push buttons are by E-switch, see here and the specific ones I got are from the PV4 series; PN's:PV4F2Y0SS-335 andPV4F2Y0SS-315 , they were purchased through Mouser Electronic. They are 24VDC LED lamp one red one green two pole (1NC, 1NO) momentary buttons. They also do a double throw which I thinking might make a good button for the work lamp, only because these are the nicest push button I have ever seen/used (and I have seen/used 100's if not 1000's of types). The other reason for specifically this brand is that they are relatively compact total depth is only 32mm.
I'm just working on some new surrounds to fit a bit nicer into the mount.

well bellow Rich's balmy 26C the best we could do here today was 14C; enough to mix up some more epoxy and shoot a little colour.

That is a nice colour, but it needs something to go with it.... it looks a bit plain by itself.... Some stripes or something might make a difference to break it up a bit...
Vertical stripes would the thing...Light red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.

I figure that when it comes out of the closet and does some work a few oil stains should do it.

All true, There is quite a bit going on all over the machine, it will not look so plain once they are back on and all the controls and bits are put back on. That being said it is not without its ascents.

What Colour
I put one back on to help decide what colour to make the handles. Still no closer to a decision.

Josh,
I take it you mean the round bar handles with black bakelite balls?
Other than the some green, I think a contrasting green - very dark or very light (almost white) would look nice. The very light option may not stay contrasting very long though .
THe other option, given the colour of the other 'gear' would be to have them polished and nickel or chrome plated! That would be a fitting and hard-wearing finish!Cheers,
Joe

Quick work there Josh! The colour on the handles makes it easier for me to visualise different colours. At this point I am leaning towards a blue. This would give more definition to the handles, contrast if you like. I would look at a blue that fits in a similar position in the range of blues as the green fits within the range of greens if you know what I mean. I would use the words but I would probably be wrong. No doubt someone will insert the correct terms for me.
Maybe something along this line.
