How small a quantity? I have 7x1 metre bits I picked up in a clean-up a couple of years ago that need a home.
I bought a fair quantity of shelving - actually pallet racking - from Display & Storage Technology - http://www.displayandstorage.com - they sell all sorts of new & 2nd hand shelving. When I initially asked about Dexion shelving they said they had heaps of 2nd hand stuff & offered to cut it to size for me. They also sell 2nd hand MDF & particle board shelves to go with the Dexion too.
The main problem with Dexion shelving (and its copies) is that the edges are often razor sharp - mate used to work in a distribution warehose with Dexion shelving & reckons they used to go thru' heaps of bandaids.

Maloufs have just been bought out by D&ST, so it won't matter where you go. I'd recommend ringing first and seeing if they have any used lengths.
