Need some dimensions
I've started to reassemble my Hercus, and seem to have misplaced the belt guard lift knob.
From memory, I think it looks something like the attached drawing.
I would appreciate a member to run a ruler over their lift knob and post the missing dims.

What model Hercus?
Light red, the colour of choice for the discerning man.

D1=1.000"
D2=.625"
L1=.1875"
L2=.375"
L3=.625
Thread = what ever,as long as its less than 7/16",would probably go with 1/4" or 5/16",
but then again for Hercus concourse you may need to talk to Hercus.

Pipeclay, ta
Thanks Pipeclay, the thread is likely to be 3/16", the hole in the guard is approx 5mm, so it's not 1/4".
Am greatfull for your assistance. From memory, the OD of the knob was smooth, ie, not knurled. Am I correct?

Knob found.
Today I had a really, really thorough search moving heavy boxes of lathe parts, and found the knob. Found a lot of other stuff that I didn't know I had.
eg, rocker style tool post holder (probably won't use) and a new tail stock 12mm chuck. Also found a 4-way tool post holder. Can't remember having any of these tools. An early Christmas! That's what happens in one's twilight stage of life.
One thing that I cannot find is my 4" 3-jaw Bernard chuck. Reckon one of my girls chucked it out during a savage clean out. I'm still in tears.
