    This has been an interesting thread.
    Surely though, no one would expect 20 metres of "rope" from supacheap or where ever for $10 to be good quality lifting rope. Come on.

    No....but I would expect it to to be comprised of many fibres, not lolly wrappers like the hardware chain stuff, the Supercheap Auto stuff OTOH with the grey and black sheath is almost all straight linear fibre and not woven either so it would be very strong for it's size.

    What do you guys define "Silver Rope" as?, is it the white poly rope with the silvery appearance?.

    That's the stuff. I'm pretty sure bunnies sells it as silver rope. I like it in 14 or 16mm.
