If you are using the image resizer that I wired to you, use the large setting so that we can see the photos with some detail. I have dragged a drawing board home from work but I've never bothered to use it. If I did have to draw "properly" at home it would be with a tee square on the dining table. Nice to see W and G scales on that machine. I use them at work.

A great job saving that drawing board from the tip. Your drawings makes my back of old envelopes ones look pretty poor.Nice job on the machining as well. I often draw things up and then half way through machining change the design, so I rarely keep any drawings, that set up would require more discipline.

Yes, I must say I do the same.
Often part way through a job, even though some thought has gone into a drawing, things change, after some bright idea enters the head !
I find its good to layout the part to be made in a full size drawing, before getting into the job.
Even so, I mentioned in this last exercise, I stuffed up a dimension and had to make the piece a second time.
Sometimes it "Can be a series of carefully planned & executed, mistakes"

Hi,

When I planning something I generally do it about 0500-0530, think some more about it at work, try and squeeze in half an hour to hour of actually doing it at about 2000 onwards (when the little kids in bed), take it to work the next day for some lunch time work, leave bits pieces here and there, stuff it up somewhere along the line and start the process again about 0500 the next day or two.

I often use my drawing board and squares to draw up what I'm thinking as well.
