Drill bit size for dowels
Hi,
I want to drill holes on 1/10" thick steel for 3mm diameter and 1/8" diameter dowels. What drill size I should use to get a snug fit but still movable?
Bottom line is I know if I drill a hole with 1/8" drill, the hole is going to be slightly bigger and the 1/8" will fit loosely. I want it snug fit but still movable.
Side question, if I want a tighter fit that I have to use a hammer to hit slightly to push it in, what should be the drill sizes?
Thanks
