Drill chuck arbor
I'm doing up and old TOUGH DP for the mens shed and in the box of parts that came with it there is a Japanese (Fuji) 13mm chuck but no arbor.
The DP has an MT2, and the taper in the chuck is
31mm long,
16.95 mms at the widest end and
15.3 mm at the narrowest end.
I have had a bit of a look on the web but cannot match it with anything that I have come across
Does anyone have any idea what the chuck taper might be ?
thanks

If it doesn't match a Jacobs taper (can't see it) then it might be a metric taper. Try poking around on this site and see what you can find.

Thanks for that lead - very useful.
The length of the taper inside the chuck (32 mm) is obviously not a good guide as they would allow for that to be longer than required.
If I correct for length the closest appears to be a J6, 0.6229 " of taper per f, where I measure 0.62" of taper per ft, and the big and small ends are within the range of the J6 dimensions over its usual 1" length.
Thanks again.
