Eldorado!
Eldorado.jpg
Own a Deckel and/or want some tooling?? 6 Draws. Pick a draw, any draw, they are all good!
So I have been negotiating with a German bloke for the Deckel tooling cabinet shown. Today he sends me photos. Not sure that all the tooling in the cabinet is included in the sale, but it all is available.
This draw is SK40 and SO collets and arbors. One draw is end mills and cutters. Some of the stuff in the other draws I don't recognise.
The draw stuffed full of stufenpratzen?, yep I recognise them alright.
Compared to the dearth of tooling for Deckels here, it's like a little slice of heaven.
Cheers

Good question?
Hi PDW,
Well maybe.
He has 3000 sq metres of second hand industrial machinery. After I got the photos of the tooling cabinet I asked him if he had more Deckel equipment.
"Probably I have more Deckelstuff but its a horror to look for, so better to say have not."
was the stern reply!
However I will specifically ask him if he has one of those arbors, for you.
Hi Bob, my computer told me it was 1mb in size, last time I trust it!
Cheers

So what are all the rings behind the collets? They look like drive dog adaptors... but why so many?
Stuart
p.s.If I try and upload pictures larger than the 246.5kB limit, something resizes them(I dont know if its IE or the forum). Doesnt work for others

Thanks. I don't care if it's SK40, ISO 40, BT 40 or whatever - I've already made adaptors to go to/from all of them. Now I need to set up a rack to keep the 5/8-11 internal threaded arbors separate from the M16 ones.
Finding an arbor isn't a high priority as I have 2 other horizontal mills but if the opportunity presents - I'll happily buy one.

A bit more....

Another day another drawer..
Stu, I don't know why so many drive rings. The tooling cabinet may have come from a facility with a number of Deckels or the vendor may have just thrown tooling into the drawers as it came to him. Handy about the automatic image resizing!
Ray G, The vendor has quite a bit of Deckel stuff scattered through his warehouse. Scattered being the important word here. The first photo of the tooling cabinet he sent me looked like it had been taken from at least 5 metres away (possibly 10!)and I assume that is because there is so much stuff in his shed he could not get closer! He has a late FP1 in pretty good condition, no one here would want to pay the 7,000 euro ask! There is an FP3NC with a mechanically damaged electrical control box. Repairable I'm told, about 2,000 euro. Would be a good deal if you have room for it and inclined to make the repairs yourself. A sweet little LK grinder for 3,000 euro. Wish I had the funds for that.
The lot I originally asked about had a FP2 table in it and I asked him if he would sell the lot without the table. He said no problems. I also asked about not paying the European GST of 19%. So that got dropped off as well. Currently the price for the tooling cabinet, rotary table, dividing head (with three indexing plates) plus slotting head ( looks hardly used) is 1100 euro plus 380 euro in transport to Brisbane, about $2k AUD. It's in my best interest to fill the tooling cabinet as the shipping component won't go up by much. The most difficult part is to get him to keep looking for stuff because it is so scattered and cluttered. To me $2k is a fair price for the goods, though hardly a steal.
Mind you he has a second tooling cabinet and I wonder what is in that???
PDW, I have asked for you but no reply yet.
Cheers

I count at least 8 spiral stair clamps in that drawer.....Franz wants at least $100 each for those, so there is a good portion of your cost already......
