Awesome haul all up Bob. That would have to be the luckiest men's shed around. I hope you have enough room for all these finds.

I'm not complaining.
I had to do a replacement cost summary for insurance purposes and not counting the pallet lifter (which I think will be a non-starter) we picked up more than $25K worth of "stuff".
Another mens shed also did pretty well on the machinery stake.
Look at this for a free haul (plus they picked up an electric tug - an electric version of those at airports that transfer luggage to/from planes) - we were literally minutes too late to get access

You win some, you lose some, but I think this is still a win win. It is good that they allowed groups which will make good use of this stuff to take their pick. Most cases it just goes to scrap. Liability scares a lot, but also it is easier to just have one contact to take out the lot.

Just curious, what brand is that drill press? It sort of looks a bit like an Arboga? Whatever it is, it's a shame about the green paint...

I'm not sure why it was I never got to see it in the flesh - or metal.
Yes we think it is a terrific system and even better we are on a list for early notification of future hospital upgrades etc.
Local Hospitals got first dibs at the stuff, then there were just one of 10 community groups and charities that took advantage of the offer. The next groups that had access were organisations that send stuff to OS 3rd world health services. There is still some stuff left but most of it is junk. All in a all a very good outcome for us at least.
