Yeah and don't forget! When i picked up the Holbrook i forgot, after 3 days they don't let you pay it, you have to wait for a bill in the mail. Toll plus $15 or so for every time you are snapped, twice onto the road and twice off. $80 later....
Ken, yes we did take a detour but it was well worth it!

Well after about an hour of loading and checking im on the road again! All went well and the Grays staff were most helpful I must say. They were amazed at my level of prepardness and were only too happy to help me load!
I may have got lucky with this machine. Talking to the owner, it was a family business that had been there since 1947. He tells me its a good machine that saw little use. Guess ill find out soon enough. The hydraulic pump on the side separate and used for something else. Still has original pump inside cover. Anyway I scored the extra pump too!
Cheers.

Good one Simon. With 3 hydraulic pumps does this make you the forum hydraulics expert?

Next petrol stop, check the tension on those straps. Probably would have been wise of me, to tell you that an hour into the journey, but I wasn't aware you're texting while your driving.
Also feel the side wall temp of those trailer tires. Pressure looked O.K to me when it had the weight on it. I blow em up to about what the max pressure says on the side wall. They look like Commadore rims, if they are car tires, about 36 psi.
If it says some thing about 8 ply, light truck tires, I go 55 psi
Get home safe.
Regards Phil.

Thanks Phil. One was low so I pumped it up there and then to 38 psi as thats what the others were. I rechecked just out of sydney and retensioned. Been checking them every couple hours ever since. Also checked the tyres and the wheel bearings for excessive heat. All good. Also been checking under the trailer for sage in cross members but all good. It should take the weight it has aggregate mass of 2000kg on compliance plate.
Who says I been posting and driving? Dobber!Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

My main concerns are the ways and the spindle bearings. All else I can fix relatively cheaply and easily. It certainly aint a new machine but if it can do a washer test like yours ill be over the moon!
We shall see. 40km out of melbourne now. Enough rest. Time to drive.... again
