Default Emco Australia - in liquidation

Just checked Emco Australia website in a search for some hobby metals and found they are out of business - voluntary liquidation.

There was an auction earlier this month. Some nice stuff on the auction list.

Yeah I noticed this as well. But there were no Taig lathes for auction, so I wonder what happened to their stock of them....

These guys (I don't know where they are) seem to have acquired the distribution rights for Emco and Taig.
    Cheers

Not much (well, none as far as I can see) info about them on the site - hard to justify forking out any money under those circumstances.

Lathes Online appears to exist, at least in a legal sense, in NSW:

    http://www.search.asic.gov.au/cgi-bi...ext=&srchsrc=1

And you are redirected to the website if you go to www.emcoaustralia.com

    Default Taig Lathes

The Australian importer of Taig Lathes is located here in Canberra and has most spares etc to supply dealers of Taig,I would fear not to purchase Taig especially in reduced prices with a back up system like this,he is a decent honest man and a remarkable engineer in metal.

No Ray, the last owners are right out. The machinery went in the auction, all the metal sections went as a job lot as SCRAP! Worth more o/s than selling it bit by bit in oz.

You could try McJing or Mick Moyles.

MiniTECH also sell smaller lathe accessories, including 4-jaw chucks
