Contacted a mechanic mate, ................
Next week, although he'd never done before, all over in less than an two hours with coffee breaks. We did need to disconnect a mount though...just seems to be the way it is...
Belt $70.00, so not sure where 1500 comes from...
G'day David, and welcome to this corner of the forums, The 1500 dollars goes to pay for the auxiliary staff who swan around and get a hot drink for waiting customers, book the car in when it's serviced etc, and also for the fancy fit out of the premises, the polished concrete floors in the workshop foyer, the carpets in the sales area and the outside lighting somewhat reminiscent of a Nevada Casino at night. You can be pretty certain that it isn't used for excessive wages for the mechanics, but perhaps the boss gets to Nevada occasionally to get new ideas for the next refurbishment of the joint, all legitimate business expenses and tax deductable of course.
