I am an avid amateur metal worker and woodworker. I just joined this forum and look forward to learning form your members. My metal working skills (?) have been used on cars, motorcycles, trailers, and misc. home projects. I weld with an old, Lincoln 60 amp arc welder, a newer Millermatic 180 MIG welder, and oxygen/acetylene tanks. I grind with a 7" and 4-1/2 in. angle grinders, and don't have a break for bending (yet). I cut with the oxy/acetylene tanks, cutting discs on the 4-1/2 in. angel grinder, and hacksaw.

I upped my game and just bought a 14. in. cut off saw with a 1 in. arbor. It uses a 14 in. diam. cutting disc. However, months ago I bought a Freud industrial metal cutting blade, 10 in. diam., 72 tooth, non-ferrous blade, and a Diablo Steel Demon, 8 in. 42 tooth, ceramic carbide ferrous metal cutting blade. They both have 5/8 in. arbor holes.

My question is can I use the 10 in. and 8 in. blades on my new saw? I would need to drill a 1 in. hole for the arbor, and both blades are rated for rpm's greater than the saw.

I've looked at Home Depot, and they only sell 14 in. metal cutting discs, no blades. Do you recommend some disc manufacturers over others, and do you have a recommendation for a 14 in. diameter blade (not disc) for this saw?

Thanks for your help.
