Thanks for the warning and I hope the hand stays good.
I use a set of cheap pneumatic wheels for all sorts of things and I'd not thought of a rim/bolt failure being an issue.
Appreciated the warningcheers

I appreciate the warning as well, Although the rims on my trolly are not the split type there is still the possibility of failure as I leave my trolly out in the weather...(lazy) The rims would are rusty and now I think about it would be getting thinner and could quite easily give way....Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Glad to hear the hand is ok. I'm going to check the wheels on my trolleys when i get home.
I used to work close to a tyre place. A couple of times they had big truck tyres explode. They shook the whole area like a bomb blast. Rattled windows and went off with an enormous BOOM. A lot of energy in an inflated tyre. Those were the droids I was looking for.

You wouldn't want to weld it up either

small tire pressure
Hi all: Just an observation; my small two wheel pneumatic tire trolley tire pressure reads max. 50 psi. However, the rims are no more than re-cycled steel that MAY be 16 gauge( 1/16 inch) thick so thankyou for the heads up. I reduced to 40 psi and put the trollys outside out of the sun (although up here right now we are still getting more snow than the Olympics could ever use -- about 2 feet two nights ago 10 miles away and 500 feet up). Wayne.
