Proops Brothers from the UK have a very few large Vallorbe files at a very reasonable price. Mail from the UK is reasonable too. I bought a few from them about 2 yeqars ago and was happy with quality: http://stores.ebay.com.au/PROOPS-BRO..._sid=298658219
This is a Swiss guy that must have bought a warehouse lot of old Swiss made files, mainly Honauer brand. He has been selling them on eBay for many many years, and selection/stock is getting limited, especially the larger ones. I bought a few from him about 5 years ago and was very happy. However, the Swiss Franc is pretty high compared to our poor Dollar right now....http://stores.ebay.com.au/swisstools..._pgn=1&_ipg=48

I bought some 14 inch bastards from Blackwoods about 2 years ago.
I was going to make slappers for Autobody panel forming but haven't got Andrew onto it yet.
I could use old car springs I guess but one with teeth would work well for shrinking.
H.
PS. Just looked up their site and they still list 14 inch Nichloson flat and half round Bastards.
Also pferd 14 inch flat.Last edited by clear out; 9th March 2015 at 11:40 AM. Reason: More info
