Insert Carbide Tips. No one sharpens any more.

I think in Harold Halls book on Tool and Cutter Sharpening WPS 38, he gives details on how to make a set up similar that? Have seen a couple around somewhere, can't quite remember where though. Wouldn't be that hard for an experienced person like yourself to make one . I'm pretty sure it's a simple tool and cutter grinder.

I've seen something like that at Hafpos in the past, doesn't seem to be in their catalogue at the moment though.

There was a good post on here recently, someone added grinding tables to a standard bench grinder.

I think Brobo Walden used to make one.
I have one (not a Brobo) that looks very similar to the one on the pic, though mine, being of asian origin (not sure now if its Taiwan or China) is probably not as good a quality.
I inherited mine from my father. I think he bought it new. I can't remember if its a H&F one or a Toolex. I haven't used it yet even though I've had it since 2003. I know its a heavy little thing.

Brobo/Waldown and GMF both used to make them. I have seen them about in workshops.

Yep used to be a lot around with the drip oiler type lube system for coolant . Won't find a better way to sharpen or make a tool for the lathe they are outstanding.
