Thanks Andy.

Its about 10 mins work made from a bit of 6mm round bar.
The unit is one I made for school and should have TWO flat washers.

They are basically large 6mm bore mudguard washers.
One of the kids has obviously wanted the other washer. I am about to weld something as an obstruction at the end of the bolt thread, so they ( the cherubs) can't remove it from the torch body.

The bolt is filed to allow it pass through the bars of the torch. When not in use ,it can be rotated 90 degrees and sits parallel out of the way.

I can't see the first piccy of the Comet 3 torch on my screen. I have uploaded 4 pics. Is the torch body showing for you blokes?

I have another pic for setting the radius accurately but its a bit blurry-not enough hands. It works by using a cleaning wire down the bore of the jetstream orifice. Put your ruler end on the wire and measure to the pivot point. Also the point needs to be set down low enough past the nozzle to allow for the preheat flame depth.About 7 to 8 mm seems ok. Other than that make the nozzle clean ,the flame setting nuetral and you too can split the witness mark pops.

cheers
Grahame
