New to forum
Howdy Gents,
This is my first post on the forum.
I am retired U.S. Navy, and now a college professor. I do some casual woodworking, shoot black powder and build wooden ship models.
I am a bit new to metalwork and so will be peppering you with inane questions from time to time. Before I trouble you I will search the site to make sure the question has not already been asked and answered.
See ya,

It was long enough ago to be wood.

Welcome to the mob Doc,
If you are a charcoal burner, you can,t be a bad bloke then.
To me there is no better blend of mixing woodwork and metalwork together than in a muzzleloader firearm, beautiful materials and style.
I do hope it is traditional not one of the horrible inline things, used to get around the deer season regs.
If its a help to you, regarding enquiries, generally the new blokes don't seem to include enough detail about the particular question they are asking.
Anyway make yourself at home , its an interesting place chockers with interesting people who have a wide range of skills and experiences.
From my experience its a really good place to find solutions for all sorts of problems.
cheers
Grahame

Fellas,
To Grahame,
Thanks for the welcome. I shoot only revolvers, Colt clones, Remington clones, and Ruger Old Army.
To Dobre,
My stories are all very interesting....at least they are to me.
Munruben,
This is America's Cup defender Sappho. Plans obtained from the Smithsonian Instistute. Scale is quarter inch to the foot. It is a built up hull.
