Default Free compound slide-if you can use it

    Hi,
I got this slide in the box of bits i got with my Conrick/Great Scot.

If it looks like it would fit your machine or be of use its yours for the cost of the postage.

There are no markings whatsoever, but it does have a few casting faults so its not just a home machined job. It does have some, ahem, flight rust, but on dis-assembly it still had oil between the parts(i have had it for 7 years or so and never touched it)

I think i also have some reverse jaws somewhere, i'll put up some pics and measurements when i find them

I have a big use for that. Are you sure you don't want anything for it.

    Hi Phil,
Thanks for the offer but i'd rather see it used than turn to rust, how about some advice for my new pending leblond rebiuld, if needed. But please let me know what you use it for, some pics would be great.

No worries Ewan. It is for an idea I have and if it works there will be plenty of photos. It will go on a couple of machines but hopefully the prototype will be on my shaper.

What a conundrum. It doesn't look like either the cross slide or the compound slide on my Great Scot. Both of those have the female dovetail on top.

(First pic is cross-slide with compound removed, second pic is with it in place)
