Free to a good home
Having a bit of a tidy up in the shed.
I bought these at an auction years ago. G them amongst a pile of other bits I wanted.
The tailstock centre height is 250MM. It is unused. It has no brand mark on it so I have no idea what it is from. Somewhere somebody probably has the matching piece of equipment and would give their, well you know what I mean.
The base plate has an index on it. Again I have no idea what it is from.
If anyone is interested let me know and we can sort out delivery I am in Brisbane.

Hi pcx
Firstly thank for a great offer.
I might be interested in the vice base. Can you measure the largest diameter of the circular part and its height? I think its a bit small.
My need isnt great, I have at least four vices on swivel bases, so if anyone else shows interest its I wont be fussed. But I have a pair of vice which only have one base, if I could match up another base to complete the pair it could be handy.

That tailstock looks nice and handy... If no one wants it and you are going to dump it, I would take it, but only if no one else wants it... I have enough goodies here and do not really need it...

G'day Stuart,
The OD of the slot is 139.5 mm ID 110 mm and height 39.5 approx. The pin in the centre is 25.4 mm but it is pressed in so you could machine up any size you need.
Also it looks like the tailstock may be gone.
I really did not expect such a quick response.

To small for me.
Thank you anyway
Stuart
p.s. yeah Ewan, I measured up my 4" bench vice. Looks about right. Would be a pretty flash for a bench vice..... so if no one can make use of it I'll add myself to the bottom of the list

Looks like the vice base is gone.
The tailstock is still available. Was to big for the guy that was interested. I would be keen to know what it has come from. 300mm rotary table maybe??

Hi pcx,
I'm in the process of looking for or was going to make a tailstock for my recently acquired Hercus No.3 T&C grinder. I'd be keen, of course RC saw it first but if it's still available and he is happy to pass it up….
