    Default Globe Drill Press

    Hi,

I got myself something new to play with. A Globe Drill Press. Its in pretty good condition for its age (which I dont know) and everything works the way its meant to.

I've pulled it apart and started cleaning it. Cleaned the major components in parts washer, put the vertical bar in the lathe and cleaned it with emery paper and wet and dry. Will head over to bunnings and buy some nice red paint and give it a new paint job hopefully this week.

If anyone has any info on Globe Drill presses feel free to pass it onto me.

    Cheers Ben

Finished giving my Globe a facelift. Its amazing how rough and ready they are.
I couldn't find a readily available maroon/deep red in a spray can but flame red did ok.

    Nice work Ben

There really isn't much to it is there. Its a shame about the holes in the base, but i guess it shows it was used once upon a time!

    HI,

I actually have a Dawn 600 and a Tough version to do yet. Something to fill in my Xmas holidays.
