Graziano SAG 14 on Ebay
Hmmm...... I want it, but I don't know about that price. This is great lathe, a later model than my lathe but I think they were a bit over rated especially when it came to price: They were supposed to cost as much as a house when they came out and I heard a figure of $89 000 when they were last made but I don't know how true that is.

I was offered a similar lathe by a dealer in Narellan, south west from Sydney, at a price less than that on the ebay item.
The lathe was the shop tool for making repair/modified items for the very large lathes they were agents for.
The dealer wanted to dispose of the lathe because it was "an electrical nightmare".
He was sick of his troops wasting time on keeping the very sophisticated electrics operational.
He did say, however, that it was a mechanical precision dream machine.
For an electrical enthusiast, it would be a great buy.
I was tempted, but just too big for me.
John.

Can you remember what brand and model it was?, the smaller SAG12's have an electric clutch speed system that often needs a rewind, these larger Graziano's are fully mechanical apart from the motor and coolant pump. I paid $3000 for my SAG180 in 2007 so I'd be happier closer to that price range for one.
