grub screw
I have a drilling machine for drill kitchen cabinets doors
The drill bits are held in by a Allen key grub screw
I have stripped the head of the grub screw
Is there a way of measuring the diameter of the grub screw so I can get a new one?
Where's is the best place to purchase them from?
thanks

If it were me I would put it between the jaws of my trusty cheapo calipers and read the number. But if it's still in the arbor that's another matter. No I can't think of a way to measure it without removing it. If there is enough female thread exposed above it you could try some likely contenders. But it has to come out some time. Maybe other owners of similar machines can advise?
Once identified the best place to get them is https://duckduckgo.com/?q=fastener%2...alist%20sydney.

If you can't measure the OD of the grub screw because it's in the bore, I'd be getting as many screws that are a close size to the hole and trying them until one fits it.
If the grub screw is out, take it to a decent hardware store that sells fasteners and give it to them to replace it.
Ben.

I take it its a Blum or Blue max machine?
IIRC they are M6, but it has to have been nearly 8 years since i touched one.....What size allen key do you use?
