Default Hafco AlL330, AL-335 or AL-336 2 HP Motor Cap

    Gents,
Does anyone know what the starting Cap value is on these lathe motors please?

Mine crapped itself and I replaced it with one that was 'close enough' and threw the original away.
The new one isn't 'close enough' and now I can't remember what the original value was....doh.

My lathe struggles to start now.....

    Thanks.

    Steve

As long as you stay the same or increase the microfarads slightly there should be no problem, I recently replaced the one on my bandsaw which was a 16 and replaced it with a 20 and starts well, the sparky where I got it from said it would be fine.

Yes, I'm aware of the 'ball park' rule....Its just that my 'Ball park' was a little too big and I wasn't sure which way I went........lol
