I went a purchased 3 12V 20W LED lights from MYled... I found postage to be a bit high as they use express post...

They turned up and I have installed one on the mill that came with a 24V halogen light originally, and it never lasted very long and back then I found a replacement 24V bulbs were made of raraturium.. Plus they ran very hot and threw out bugger all light..

I firstly found out they need a decent power supply... this one chews 2.5 amps @ 12V... The wall wart I was going to use does not run it... Also I found out they must be very sensitive to polarity... I connected what I thought was the positive of the wall wart up to the red lead and the light is now dead... I discovered on the wall wart the lead marked - is actually the positive lead.. I assume it has fried the LED driver about $6 worth..

The build of the unit is much much better then I expected... Certainly better then those cheap tungsten lights you buy locally..

So I swapped the unit over to another and connected to a 12V battery.. It puts out a lot of light, really good actually, it just needs a cover on the side closest to the operator to cut back glare...
