    Default Gear oil

    Hi

A misguided previous owner has filled the headstock on this lathe with automotive gear oil , looks like hypoid modern stuff, the gearbox has bronze bits in it. I flushed the headstock with kero, but any damage has already been done All seems Ok .. had a play and i am getting 40 to 830 rpm
