Yes a different lathe and I cannot really see any similarities so I suspect a different manufacturer. I will look behind the leadscrew for any name imprinted in case it was a Japanese thing to do although I didn't observe anything when I had the lead screw assembly off. The company that reconditioned/sold the lathe in Sydney may be a lead but I suspect it has long gone by now as would have the workers.
Thanks again and I will keep you posted of anything that turns up
