Hello metal working legends. I'm in need of some assistance.
I usually hang around over there ---> in the Woodwork Forums.
My real passion is archery. Been competing for over 30 years. I also love vintage archery equipment and have a small collection of target bows. Which brings me to my problem.
I have a Nishizawa TD02 bow from the 70's. I love it, it is my favourite bow. However, from the factory it came with a weird arrow rest system. That bit I do not love but I really want to shoot it on a regular basis.

This is the riser (handle) in question. (Sorry about the dodgy pic, I couldn't get it to focus)
The brass bit in the centre is the base of the original rest system.

I managed to remove that with a bit of heat and some gentle persuasion.

So now I need to make an insert that fits the hole (to be glued in place) and has a threaded hole through the centre.
I have done a basic CAD drawing and purchased the brass stock, correct tap and tapping drill to make the insert.

The only thing I don't have is a suitable lathe.
Is there anyone in The Blue Mountains, Western Sydney or greater Sydney area that could help.
Happy to pay for your time in whatever currency you like.
