Default Help needed. I need to find an engineer

G'day guys, as the title says, I need to find someone to do some work for me.
I am currently working on a small hobby grade cnc. The plans call for 20mm presision ground shaft with an M8 hole tapped in each end and some trapezoidal screws with turned ends also.

I have contacted a few enginneering companies but none are being all too responsive.

I will include a pic of the work I need done. Can anyone do this? Im am located in western sydney.

    Thanks in advance guys
    Shane

Is there any tolerance on the length of leadscrew?

    Are you supplying material?

Have you tried to cost this?

Are you on a limited budget?

You can get pretty much what you are looking for as far as materials go, on the various ebay cnc suppliers.

Have you considered ballscrews rather than acme?

Thanks for the links, I might go the ebay route for some of the parts I need

My main reason of acme vs ballscrews is price. I am trying to make this cnc for under $700 and ballscrews would throw me way off budget.

Acme / trapezoidal is a bit hard to find in Australia in my experience. There is only limited stuff available.

    What plans are you using?

The previously quoted eBay seller also has ACME threaded rod in 12,16 and 22mm, no 14mm
There's still the machining requirement though.

T.E.A. Transmissions in Brisbane stock various sizes of threaded rod specified for machine leadscrews in quite long lengths.
They can machine ends to requirements.

Im using some plans I got on ebay, made by Craig Paxman. Good plans. He suggests using ball screws but says acme can be used, or if worst comes to worst, builders threaded rod. Not going to use the treaded rod though.
