    Default Help please

Can't get Silverglide in Bris at the moment. (Not until Aug/ Sept)
What else can be used to protect metal surfaces like tablesaw top? It will need to have no effect on timber.

Wax is a great protectent for tablesaw tops.

I make up my own by melting beeswax in a pan, and adding equal quantity of pure gum turpentine while the wax is still liquid. The mix cools to a lovely smelling paste which I use for several applications in my workshop.

or indeed you can get yourself a container of Ubeaut Traditional Wax and kill two birds with one stone.
1 It works brilliantly, no messy mixing of raw materials that will probably cost as much if not more.

(Oh and it costs about half of what that German muck would have cost ya!)
