Help- what is it. tool? MKII
With credit to bollie7
So while bidding on a few things I wanted, I saw this interesting thing and bought it on a whim. I figured I'd be able to make sense of it once I got my hands on it.... I was wrong
So what did I buy this time?
Looking at the third picture, there is another "clamping area" the same when the top is rolled 180 degress.
The engraving on the side is Efem BSV2. On one end "Anschn links", "Anschn rechts", the other end "Brust links", "Brust rechts"
Any ideas?

Hi Syart,
here is a bit about the history of the company:
http://translate.google.com.au/trans...e/&prev=search
I can't find anything about your tool either, but it appears to me to be a woodworking tool - maybe.
An e-mail with these photos to them might give you the answers.
The translation of "Anschn links" is "Cut left", "Anschn rechts" is "Cut right", "Brust links" is "breast or chest left, "Brust rechts" is "breast or chest right". The word "Brust" is used to mean something the way we use the word "flank", in the German language.
By the way, I have a reversing efem tapping chuck. That's why I recognised the maker as the German company Fahrion ....Cheers,
Joe

Thank you gentlemen.
Seems I was right about it being Germany and that is was a grinding fixture, not so sure I was right about it being useful one day, and they say 2 out of 3 isn't bad lol.
Anyone need their chasers sharpened?
I'll post some of the goodies I actually wanted shortly.
Stuart
p.s. Your info let me find this page, which I think explains the "other clamping area"
