Default Old Hercus, but a goody

A mate of mine dragged me to a second hand dealer, for me to give my consent on an old 9" Hercus. Wow, the machine looked to be in really good nick.

What I didn't recognise was the metal stand it was on. The cabinet was sheet metal and sat on 4 U shaped pipe like feet. Have only seen this arrangement on early Southbend lathes.

The ways looked to be in good nick with the bonus of a wooden box full of goodies.

Toolpost grinder, taper attachment, a box of collets, milling attachment and lots of other bits and pieces.

I was dragged along to help access the asking price, $950. I reckon it's a bargain. Reckon it's a bargain?

With all the fruit it has to be a bargain Ken. You should buy it and use it. Be better fun than painting.
