It'd be nice to get the metallic look.
A friend has a repainted bicycle frame, with an obscure Japanese brand logo and paint scheme. Turns out it's just someone's invention - just made up some graphics and printed them out for decals. It looks pretty impressive.

Hi Ken, I have used the waterslide paper for a sewing machine that I am refurbishing and I don't think that is what you need, you could try a sign company that has a digital printer. I f you can wait a few days I am going to another buisness almost next door to Hercus on Tuesday and I will enquire if they are still available.

HERCUS DECAL
A first draft, 2 3/4" x 1" I will find out next week what the cost is, the only difference between a pro and a careful hobbyist restoration is in the finishing touches, this should go a long way towards a leveling the playing field, This decal is a prototype only and the end product will be flawless, The gold was very hard to photograph but it is shiny bright gold. I may just use this test decal any way on a less than perfect resto.

Hercus Decals
You can contact Ray Botten direct and deal with him for decals, I have used his decals on bicycle restorations and if you dont have someone to do decals put his e-mail address somewhere safe [email protected]
l searched the world via the net before I found someone in my own backyard (Australia) who would do the stuff I wanted, don't waste your time like I did, I could have saved hundreds of dollars and just as many e-mails dealing with complete mor*&%ns before I found Ray. There is another guy in Coff harbour that does absolutely perfect stuff but does not do short runs or proofs, that is Greg Softly, superb stuff but is a no to short (or one off) runs.

Hi, Ray got back to me and the "Hercus" decals are $12.50, minimum order of 4 supplied. Better ask about postage as I didn't think to ask about that.
