Ha! when you see how much crap people cop with what they have in their pictures, it makes you a tad paranoid about posting pics of a project. I always look at what is in the background before posting!

I always look at EVERYTHING in the picture, not just the target item as it gives a little insight into the person! Then again I'm the sort of person that turns up to "open for inspection" even though I have no intent on purchasing....... I love a sticky beak!

To get rid of the clothesline, just wait until she hangs some beach towels and then fire up the lathe..... Instant rags! stand clear! I bet it gets moved!

Oh, and when will it end? You and I and everyone else here knows it doesn't end until you move into a nursing home and you start hiding your own easter eggs!

I have one of those face mills and it sits in the draw, I have never heard a good comment about them.
Like said earlier grab one from CTC or somewhere else.

As for your set up it looks great and glad you got the mill you wanted. With the line you have to do what you have to do, but give it time and maybe it will get moved after some washing gets oil on it. I see you are already partly taken it over with hanging your gloves on it.

Well I tried that face cutter and while the finish wasn't mirror like it wasn't too bad either,
I don't know anything about DRO's does anyone have an opinion on the Hafco brand DRO unit
    with aluminium scales https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/Di...-Display-Units
they seem a lot cheaper than anything I've seen elswhere?

    Hi Leroy,
That style of DRO is cheap because of the type of scales, they are not as accurate as glass scales. Actually the fact that H&F don't state a tolerance worries me a bit. It may cost a bit more but you would be better with a unit like this TDS 3M - Digital Readout 3 axis DRO + 3 glass Scale for Mill Milling Drill -Aus | eBay that has glass scales.

thanks UEEE, I thought that might be the case,I'll have a look at the link you posted, I was a bit worried about damage when frieghting glass scales
into australia but TDS sound like they take care,
    Leroy.
