Really ! it was not my intension from the start. The Emco came op for sale at 10.000dkr. , i asked the danish forum about a price on it, they answered 12-15000, so I called the seller, we talked a while and he mensioned that he also had this Boxford at the same price. I thought what the hell, and offered him 16000 for the both. After a while it was accepted, they were so tired of all the calls and mails, they got about 100 mails on the Emco all trying to press the price, the Boxford was not adverticed. So now I ended op with the 2 of them, They will arrive here on Manday, my hart is mostly with the Boxford. Well we shall see. The lathes were on a school , but outhoreties has forbitten use of them grounded on lack of securityfacilities and uneducated staff.

be careful machines in schools will always get F#@$ we had some Hrecus lathes at our school and boy the life they had! it sounds like you got a good buy but give them a bit of TLC and you should have 2 good hobby lathes (why sell one of the lathes just keep it)

can you post some pic's latter? when you get them

I think transpotation from here to there will be very expencive, by the way the lathes were never used on he school, they got them as a gift from a person, who did not use them anymore, but they were not allowed to use them. I still believe in the Boxford, and hope it is able to cut metric threads, without me buing extras, I know it is a possbility, and we don't use inches here in DK. I saw somewhere a person seeking for the equipment to make theads in inch. he had for mm. but I forgot where I found it. I had not bought the lathes at that time.
