First use of the Horizontal bandsaw! ( Or "see, I told you I needed one....")
I bought a BS-5 about a year ago have have not had cause to use it. It was quite annoying as it was a few hundred and I hate spending money on things i don't get to use.
Anyway, I needed to use it today and life is good...lol
I had to cut some 8mm aluminium plate to size and it did it in a jiffy.
It would have been a pain, if I hadn't had it.
Just sayin'....lol

The other thing that cut's ally plate really well is a woodwork table saw fitted with a negative rake blade. I've cut up to 25 mm thick with it using hard wax as a lube. If a smooth action is used the finish is better and straighter than a band saw. Good PPE is needed as the swarf is pretty aggressive.
