Hyco drill press
Hi guys
I picked up a Hyco drill press about a year ago and brought it into the shed today to have a better look and start to strip it down with the intention of restoring it to a reasonable using condition. It has sat in the weather for a fair few years so needs some TLC but seems like it should be a good candidate to do up.
I was surprised to not find any real info about Hyco but did read that they were bought out by Woodfast in the past.
Some pics of the project and after getting the quill out I am now wondering how I will get the rest of the head apart. If anyone has taken one of these apart in the past I am all ears. There is a cover on the very top of the head that sits above the shaft that is driven by the pulley. At this stage I am not sure how that is all going to come off.
