Default I need these made...any interest?

Hi all, I am looking for some advice from the metalworking fraternity about threaded rod. I have a particular design I am after, roughly described below.

I need two partially threaded rolled carbon steel rods that are 3/4" diameter and 12" long. They need the thread to stop 2" from the end. The thread is to be an ACME 8 tpi. The plain end should have a 3/8" radius.

The last 2" of each rod needs to have three 3/8" holes drilled in it. From the end, the first is centred at 7/16", second 7/8" and the last at 1-5/16".

Finally, I also need two straight 5" x 3/4" bars with a 1" long by 3/8" round end on it.

Anyone who could make those? Or know anyone who could? Estimate of cost?

All advice appreciated, thanks in advance.

Is the Acme thread right or left handed, what tollerance is there on the radious, the 3/8" diameter, the centre distance of the holes and overall length of the different diameters.

    as shown in the diagram

what tollerance is there on the radious,
Radius just needs to be close to 3/4", it will butt against the side of a 3/4" tube at 90 deg.

    the 3/8" diameter,
Standard 3/8 drill bit will suffice, provided the 3/8 bar is a snug fit and not sloppy.

the centre distance of the holes and overall length of the different diameters.Centre distance of the holes should be within 0.5mm. It is important the closest to the end is the most accurate, the other two just need to be 'close enough'. The bar should be no larger than 3/4", it can be marginally smaller but hopefully no more than 0.025mm. Overall length can be within 1-2mm

    Hey Groggy,

Has someone offered to help you out yet? What are these parts for?

The parts are to help me to modify a Moxon Vise for use on my bench in a variety of new positions. I am talking to Benchcrafted at the moment about it, they seem interested in the ideas and may be able to help me (bless'em ).
