There is a set of tables for various tapers on the LittleMachineShop site:

    http://littlemachineshop.com/reference/tapers.php

You don't mention the manufacturer of the lathe but if you know the maker you could try here:

    http://www.lathes.co.uk/index.html

    6.5 Degrees seems odd.

    Good luck,

    Findlay.

Yes have tried UK Lathes no luck the lathe is a Edgwick Mark one which is quite rare these days made by Alfred Herbert the bush had internal taper MT3 but outside taper looks like Jarno 14 I think I will have to make one.

Looks like a good sized machine.

There is a thread on MadModder forum where a guy is making the spindle adapter. He seems to have had a false start but got there in the end. His second attempt at measuring the taper would seem to support the Jarno taper.

I think he has another couple of threads about his lathe on the forum.
