    I totally agree.
Years ago I changed our side shed into a pool table room which was hardy plank outside. It was pretty old shed and after fitting shelves here and there for drinks etc I spray painted the whole inside with white paint water based ceiling paint (including the inside of the roof) and then went around with fencing brown and picked out all the studs etc, it came out brilliant and bright.

15 years down the track and it still looks good, the water based paint sunk into the back of the hardy planks and the timbers.

I've put some white painted,10mm ply, on the wall behind my bench. I might do the same behind the lathe etc one day but I have so many other things that need to be done (ie full reno on the house) that it might take a while to get to it. lol. I think filling in the eaves might have to come first as the possums find the shed pretty cosy in winter apparently.

The last thing you need after storing all this machinery for this long is to have possum crap on it.

Hi possum urine is worse on machinery, although i loathe to put w proof covering over machines here, I do need to as have found some horrible staining and etching on m/c surfaces. However i do coat every thing with lanox is the best i have found so far and vaseline on bright work handles etc.Of late the arrival of a stray cat who seems to have adopted me the possum nocturnal visits My shop is quite large and almost impossible to possum proof they can squeeze in and under some amazing holes that we would think impossible.A proliferation of trees around doesnt help either.
