Speaking of Ifanger, have a look at that link that Bob posted, the third page down under "threading tools" :they make a retractable tool holder. OK Bob, now my passion has been rekindled.

I'm pretty sure I have some nice photos, filed away at home, of the retractable threader. I will attempt to locate them tonight. The diamond tool holder has a real appeal due to it's simplicity. I can see expense daubed all over the Ifanger catalogue like gold leaf.

Still, worth including it in my ever growing number of Ebay saved searches. Those Tripans are dainty. I'd like one. But then I'd like a 102 to mount it on, too.

Those things, especially the Multifix, make my Aloris look pretty crude. Too bad they are so spendy.

The Multifix has a real allure about it, rather fetching in silver don't you think.

Oh man. That does look pretty. My (genuine) Aloris even has the label stuck on about 2º out of square to really make it look like it was made in special class.

    Great pictures BT.
I've used the splined one a lot. great stuff but I think it might be a little beyound me at the minute. The other one looks much more doable. But I've been working on my diamond tool holder today, with luck Version 1 will be finished tomorrow.

    Hi Stuart,

I'm interested in see how that diamond tool holder works out, it looks to be simple to grind the tools as well... even I might manage to grind that.

    Regards
    Ray
